Meet the newest member of our team, Alex Custer!
We are honored to introduce the newest member of our mental health team, Alex Custer, a mental health therapy intern who brings a compassionate, grounded, and authentic approach to care.
Alex is currently completing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She offers a thoughtful, person-centered approach that meets clients exactly where they are. Her work is especially centered around supporting individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, identity development, and emotional regulation. Drawing from a narrative therapy perspective, Alex helps clients explore their stories, make meaning of their experiences, and step into new chapters with greater self-compassion and empowerment.
Her professional background includes working with adults with disabilities in community-based settings, supporting independence, communication, and daily living skills, as well as nonprofit work focused on creating safe spaces for healing, connection, and personal growth. These experiences have shaped Alex's deep respect for each person's unique journey and strengthened her ability to offer care that is patient, adaptable, and genuine.
As a mother of three, Alex also understands firsthand the complexity of identity, resilience, and personal evolution. She brings warmth, authenticity, and a deep belief that healing is not linear, but that every person's story, even while still unfolding, holds meaning and possibility.
Outside of her clinical work, Alex enjoys crocheting, camping, kayaking, reading fantasy novels, and spending meaningful time outdoors with her family.
Alex is now accepting clients for June, and we are excited for our community to experience the care and support she offers. To learn more or schedule with Alex, call our office at (410)989-2034.
Healing is deeply personal, but you do not have to navigate it alone. We are here to support you every step of the way.
P.S. Can't wait until June? We also currently have openings with our other mental health therapists and our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, offering additional support for those seeking counseling, medication management, or integrated mental health care. You can visit our website to learn more, or call our office and our team will help guide you toward the right fit.
