Ground yourself first. Before entering a gathering or starting your day, take 60 seconds to reconnect with your body: 

  • Plant your feet on the floor

  • Inhale for 4 counts

  • Exhale for 6 counts

  • Visualize your breath moving down into the earth

This simple pattern calms your nervous system and helps you stay centered.

Set clear energetic boundaries. Boundaries don't have to be spoken -- they can be energetic. Try setting an intention such as: 

  • "I stay grounded no matter what energy is around me." 

  • "I take in only what nourishes me." 

Carrying a clear intention creates a protective internal container.

Use your breath as a reset. If you feel overwhelmed during holiday interactions, use a quick 4-2-6 breath to regulate your system: Inhale for 4 counts -> Hold for 2 counts -> Exhale for 6 counts. This clears emotional static energy and brings you back to yourself.
