Kids Connection is a supportive, interactive group for homeschooled kids aged 8-12 to develop practical social-emotional skills while connecting with other kids in a welcoming environment.

Led by mental health therapy intern Alexus Griffin, the group will give kids opportunities to learn and practice skills such as:

• Communicating thoughts and feelings

• Building healthy friendships and social skills

• Recognizing and managing big emotions

• Regulating stress and calming the nervous system

• Developing healthy coping strategies

• Problem-solving and navigating conflict

• Building confidence and self-awareness

• Practicing empathy and understanding others

This group provides kids with a safe place to practice skills, connect with others, make mistakes, and grow together.

Each session will incorporate age-appropriate activities, discussion, and hands-on opportunities to put these skills into practice, all while making space for kids to be themselves.

This group will last 8 weeks. While highly encouraged to participate in the full series, kids do not need to attend each meeting to sign up. Meetings are $15 each, per child. Call our office at (410)989-2034 to register.
