Is this just teen angst...or something more?
Adolescence is a time of big emotions, shifting identities, and constant change. It's normal for teens to experience stress, frustration, or emotional ups and downs. But how do you know when it's more than just teen angst?
If your teen is...
Constantly overwhelmed or irritable
Avoiding school or social situations
Struggling with sleep or appetite
Caught in a cycle of overthinking or self-criticism
...it could be anxiety, and they're not alone.
Our Adolescent Anxiety group offers a safe and supportive space for teens ages 13-18 to explore what they are feeling, understand how anxiety works, and learn healthy, practical tools to manage it.
Led by Megan Miller, LGPC, a licensed mental health therapist and certified yoga instructor, this bi-weekly group combines therapeutic conversation with mindfulness and body-based strategies that help teens build emotional resilience, self-awareness, and connection.
Whether your teen is dealing with academic stress, friendship challenges, or internal struggles they don't yet have the words for, this group offers a place to feel seen, supported, and empowered.
This group meets every other Wednesday at 6 pm beginning in September, and it is eligible for full or partial coverage by CareFirst insurance. Learn more and reserve your teen's spot here.
