The healing power of community.
Community is one of the most powerful forms of healing we have. As humans, we are wired for connection. Research consistently shows that supportive relationships and a sense of belonging can have a profound impact on our mental and emotional well-being. When we feel seen, accepted, and connected to others, we experience lower levels of stress, greater resilience, and improved overall health.
For many members of the LGBTQ+ community, finding spaces where they can show up authentically and be welcomed exactly as they are can be especially meaningful. Acceptance, visibility, and connection aren't just nice things to have. They can be protective factors that support mental and emotional wellness.
That's one reason Pride matters. At its heart, Pride is about community. It's about creating opportunities to gather, celebrate, support one another, and remind each other that no one has to walk alone.
This June, we are excited to continue that tradition with our annual Walk With Pride event. We will gather for a 1-mile walk, share conversation and connection, enjoy themed drinks from CoffeeBar Bel Air, and spend time celebrating the diversity that makes our community stronger.
Whether you are part of the LGBTQ+ community, an ally, a friend, or a family member, we would love for you to join us.
Sometimes healing looks like a therapy session, a yoga class, or a wellness practice. And sometimes it looks like putting on your brightest colors, showing up, and walking alongside people who care.
We can't wait to walk with you.
